Assistant General Counsel

Alec joined the Office of General Counsel in May 2024 as an Assistant General Counsel. Prior to joining App State, Alec worked for another North Carolina public university, where he negotiated and ensured legal compliance for a wide variety of agreements pertaining to university research with government, nonprofit, and private for-profit partners utilizing government funds. Alec Graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, and the University of North Carolina School of Law.  In his free time, Alec is an avid reader and armchair historian.
